New features for May - In-line comments integration

We are excited to launch our brand new feature to our system - In-line comments.

This brand new feature enables reviewers to easily add comments to abstracts, with the aim of helping to improve communication between reviewers and submitters. While also allowing specific and individual edits to abstracts.

It’s a simple idea, but one that will make reviewing abstracts much easier.

This seamless integration is straightforward to use and enables all reviewers to add comments to both text and images.

To enable this feature, the event administrator needs to head over to the review form, and enable the in-line comment question.

To add a comment, highlight the text you wish to comment on and a text box will appear. Write your comment within the text box and click save.

The comment can then be viewed in the ‘in-line comment’ section to the right of the page.

Once a submitter has analysed the comments and made the necessary corrections to their abstract, the new version is saved.

This doesn’t mean the original abstract submitted will be lost, all versions of the abstract the submitter has uploaded can still be viewed.

Editing and deleting comments from an abstract is also possible, and effortless to do with a click of a button.

For a more in-depth look at our new feature, and to view what it will look like within the software, take a look at our Knowledge Base article and video demo.
